Familia Zuccardi

A project with Sebastian Zuccardi, one of Argentina’s most important and innovative wine makers, with a focus on exploring new terroirs and developing organic viticulture within the Mendoza region.

Being the 3rd generation owner, Sebastian leads a young and spirited team through the production process in the winery. He concentrates on the cooler, high quality area of the Uco Valley for its grapes, from which the two Ballena wines are sourced.

Did you know? Ballena del Sur means “Southern Whale” as the picture of the grape on the label looks like a whale’s eye! The Southern Wright Whale is an iconic whale in Argentinian waters.
